Ever see the movie ELF? “She” is the girl who has the strange and wonderfully “old-fashioned” voice. I am loving this CD. A little experimental. Kind of like quirky meets nostalgia! Check out their myspace!
Ok…so my mom has WAAAAY better taste in music these days than she did when I was growing up. I use to have some resentment issues towards her for squelching my musical influences, limited only to the likes of CCM artists (and the occasional slow song without too much of a beat, i.e. my slow song mix tape) But she has “grown up” and grown into her real musical taste and it is actually quite wonderful. This is her recent favorite…now it’s one of mine, too! Thanks Debbie-Cakes! We specifically love the song, Phenomenal Woman.
This is the second project from this “tween pop” group. I do have a great affection for good old bubble gum pop. This is it. We LOVED their first CD and the kids got to meet them at a little concert last year. These are good kids trying hard to have a positive influence on other kids. (amongst the dizzying Disney mania) If you have kids and want something fun to listen to in the car, this is it. They have a few covers which are fun, too. (track 3 is the BEST…so much fun)
